Balancing work and life is rarely discussed by architects but taking a vacation is an important part of your professional life. This week I’m
v-logging about my travel kit and imploring you to take some time off. As I started packing up my gear to head out of town myself, I thought it would be fun to show you I travel with, my new favortie bag and how this architect approaches vacations as an essential part of practice.
My new favorite bag is by LowePro, it’s the Fastpack 250AWII: http://amzn.to/2ramXCk
Not only do I use it for traveling but also for site visits. It holds my 15″ MacbookPro, my DSLR, lenses, sketchbook, and as I mention in the video there’s a pocket for everything you might imagine taking with you. It conveniently fits the Mavic Pro drone in the top compartment too. I bought the older model, but the AWII has an integral rain cover and tripod holder on the side, which are both nice upgrades.
