Lecture Date: 2014-12-01

WhatNext? Series, introduced by Tyen Masten

In a dematerialised world where all is virtual, mass produced and demystified, Flavie Audi aims to reverse this through a sensitivity to materiality, uniqueness and mystery. After graduating from the AA with a Technical Studies about slumped glass, she pursued a Masters at the Royal College of Art looking at the sculptural and spatial qualities of glass as well as new techniques and materials to work in combination with the material. She will discuss her pieces, through their process, quality and significance.

Flavie Audi graduated from the Architectural Association in 2011 before completing a Master’s in glass at the Royal College of Art. Her art practice currently investigates the technical possibilities between glass and precious metals to express sensuality and life. She tries to enhance the mystery of our world through her search for the sublime.
