For their exhibition at the Australian national pavilion at the XV Venice Biennale of Architecture, Creative Directors Amelia Holliday, Isabelle Toland & Michelle Tabet chose to explore the manifold meanings of pools in their country’s built environment. In conversation with PLANE—SITE and ArchDaily, the three describe the typology of the pool as a fundamental public space in Australia’s architectural history through a physical and multimedia installation inhabiting the country’s new structure in the Giardini.
