100 Day Studio: Black Females in Architecture – ‘Decolonising the Profession’

Day 70 of the 100 Day Studio:
Join Black Females in Architecture co-founder Neba Sere and BFA Member & Founding Director of insider-outsider Umi Baden-Powell for the second in their ‘Decolonising Architecture?’ series. This event looks at the importance of diversifying the profession, from understanding the issues for BAME graduates finding a job and accessing practice to the barriers for BAME led businesses to gaining the opportunities to build.

They are joined by panelists: Joseph Henry, GLA Regeneration Officer and co-host of Sound Advice, David Ogunmuyiwa, founder of Architecture Doing Place; Tara Gbolade, co-founder of Gbolade Design Studio; and Pedro Gil, founder of Studio Gil, along with invited listeners, Simon Allford (AHMM), Paul Karakusevic (KCA), Bob Allies (Allies+Morrison), Joe Morris (Morris + Company), Peter Murray (NLA), Bob Sheil (The Bartlett) and Harriet Miller (DCA).
