Led by Shade Abdul, Deft.Space aims to create spaces that help people flourish by putting their needs first. Abdul is a WELL Accredited Professional, and the practice believes in putting health and wellbeing at the centre of the spaces it creates. Commissioned by Southwark Council, Deft.Space designed a project for a community hub on the Old Kent Road to engage the local community in the regeneration vision for the area. Completed residential projects include the re-working of a period property on Arlington Avenue in London’s Islington to provide flexible spaces with movable parts such as sliding book shelves that double as a screen, and a foldaway bed. https://deft.space/
