In this Dezeen movie, jury members discuss the winners of the Samsung Mobile Design Competition wallpaper category, which were revealed last month at the Samsung Developer Conference in San Jose, California.
The winning designs include a personalised flower generated by an algorithm, a design that would change colour when multiple devices are in close proximity in one another, and a colourful abstract pattern inspired by nature that would change with the time of day by Guan Hong Yeoh.
The top five designs and the overall winners in each category were selected by a jury including designers Stefan Scholten and Paul Austin, as well as executives from Samsung’s IT and mobile communications division and Dezeen’s editor-at-large Amy Frearson.
