Alex de Rijke – An Architectural Alphabet

Lecture date: 2004-11-30

A 45-minute litany of words and photographs depicting dRMMs time/energy spent on an experimental architectural alphabet project over 4.5 years, arranged as a homage to Georges Perec. This AA lecture (followed by a short Q & A) is an updated version of one first presented as part of the Architecture Foundation series Real Architecture, and shows completed works plus more recent design in development at Kingsdale School.

Alex de Rijke studied architecture in London and Amsterdam, set up dRMM with Philip Marsh and Sadie Morgan, and taught at the AA from 1995-2002.

NB: Frequent image distortion throughout lecture.
