“I’m just a girl with a ukulele,” says up-and-coming Danish singer-songwriter Katinka, who tries hard not to become too self-conscious. “It’s not an image or a persona. It’s just me.”
Katinka Bjerregaard, songwriter and lead singer in the band Katinka, tries hard to be authentic and not let her newly established fame go to her head: “If people meet me at the bar I’m Katinka as well. It’s not an image or a persona.” In this video the singer invites us into her Copenhagen home, introduces her music and explains how she came to write the songs that have earned her one several nominations and awards.
Katinka is a Danish rock-pop quartet formed in 2012 by singer-songwriter Katinka Bjerregaard and guitarist and producer Simon Ask. The band released their debut EP in 2014 and won the Danish National Broadcast talent award in 2015.
