100 Day Studio: The Rural Condition – Takeshi Hayatsu, Thomas Randall-Page & Kate Darby

Day 53 of the 100 Day Studio: In the fifth of a six fortnightly conversations discussing rural practice from across Europe, Niall Maxwell (Rural Office for Architecture) Takeshi Hayatsu & Thomas Randall-Page discuss the role of the countryside as a canvas for experimentation, community engagement, cultural exchange and collaboration. The speakers consider projects in the UK, Japan, Latvia & Russia and describe the role teaching plays in their praxis. Kate Darby returns to discuss her work at the Welsh School of Architecture and as one of the founders of Studio in the Woods.
