Can Buildings Curate is the first exhibition to explore the role of the modern gallery in the love/hate relationship between artists, architects and curators.
Newbetter curated the group show (including OMA, Zaha Hadid, Michael Asher, Dee Ferris, Cai Guo Qiang, Igor Zabel and others) and also designed the exhibition. Inspired by early twentieth-century ideological exhibitions, Can Buildings Curate created a series of intimate, thematized gallery experiences, starting off at the AA with an exhibition accompanied by performance and panel-discussions.
Exhibition co-curator Shumon Basar moderates a panel discussion featuring Jens Hoffman, Davide Bertocchi, Christian Teckert, and Sarah Herda.
