Andreas Bründler founded the office Buchner Bründler Architekten with Daniel Buchner in Basel in 1997. He was admitted to the Federation of Swiss Architects (Bund Schweizer Architekten) in 2003. He was appointed visiting professor at the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale of Lausanne) in 2008 and 2009. A visiting lectureship in the field of design at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich) followed between 2010 and 2012.
After an apprenticeship as a structural draughtsman in Zug from 1984 to 1987, he studied architecture at the Engineering School of Both Basels (Ingenieurschule beider Basel) from 1989 to 1993. Then he worked for the architectural office Miller & Maranta in Basel from 1994 to 1997. He was born in 1967 in Sins, Switzerland.
