“I usually collect the things, and then the process starts after I’ve familiarized myself with the objects.” For artist Nina Beier, the negative space – voids or holes – in found objects seems to be a continuous theme in many of her works. Follow her to a local recycling center on a search to find her next object.
“I get interested in a particular object for its historical value or something. Objects that relate to some sort of global economy. Things that have traveled around different realities, different times, different places and have changed along the way.”
‘Get Inspired’ is a series of videos that draws close attention to the inspiration process that every artist must go through to create a work of art.
