Hussein Chalayan won British Fashion Designer of the Year awards in 1999 and 2000. His innovative approach to fashion has included experimentation with such unusual techniques as making clothes from washable paper or hard moulded plastics or by rusting fabrics by burying them in his garden.
Chalayan discusses a wide selection of his designs before showing a video of his celebrated Afterwords collection.
Introduced by Judith Clark, curator and founder of the Judith Clark Costume Gallery.
