John Outram – London As A Mythological Landscape

Lecture date: 1991-08-08

John Outram gives a talk on the structure of cities. By stressing the role of the visual imagination, pursuing etymological insights from architectural terminology, gathering together examples from his own projects, Outram explains how his fascination with the primordial landscapes of architecture and the ways in which buildings become buried in the city have accompanied his own oppositional movement away from the kind of architectural theories and practices associated with Hi-Tech.
