The Architecture Foundation Young Trustees present the second event in a six-part series Life (not quite) Outside Architecture exploring disciplines outside traditional architectural practice.
The seemingly predetermined marathon towards obtaining the coveted architect title sends people down a path which rarely leaves an opportunity to pause and question the direction it takes them. This series brings together those voices that at some point questioned their destination and applied their skills in a different environment.
In this second event, they talk to Seyi Adelekun, an artist, architectural designer and creative practitioner, Leyla Fakhr, curator, producer, advisor and founder of Art Square Projects and Catherine Borowski, artist and founder of SKIP Gallery and Produce UK, to explore what happens when you step inside the world of public art. We will ask them what inspired them, what they do in their current role, and their top tips for becoming an artist. Do you really have to be a tortured soul, what if you’re just an architect with a dream?
#2 Public Art was recorded live on Wednesday 17 March and was hosted by Young Trustees, Hanna Benihoud and Amandeep Singh Kalra.
