In the 2023-2024 academic year, the student group MASS, based at London Metropolitan University, held a series of talks around the theme ‘Anti-Apathetic Architecture’.
The students asked the question “What if the architect was to move away from a position of apathy and instead diverge to practice fundamentally rooted in care; for the human, non-human and prosperity of our planet. What would an anti-apathetic architecture be like?”
In this episode, Alfie Gee and Maia Rollo represent the union SAW, Section of Architecture Workers. They discuss was SAW’s role is within the discipline of Architecture and how individuals working in architectural practices can become a part of the union and enact change in their workplaces.
