Founded in 2014, Alison Crawshaw’s eponymous practice pursues a design-led and interdisciplinary approach to architecture. She has extensive experience in the design and delivery of public space and urban strategy, previously working at muf architecture / art, where she was project architect of Barking Town Square, winner of the European Prize for Urban Space. In Saudi Arabia, she is designing Villa Naddah, a one hectare enclosed landscape and three buildings in Jeddah. The landscape is conceived as an overlay of different ecologies – brackish, sweet, arid and productive. The three new buildings of diwanyah (reception room), guard’s house and occasional room are set into the perimeter wall. She also designed the exhibition Still Undead, Popular Culture in Britain Beyond the Bauhaus at the Nottingham Contemporary, and is creating the Open Havelock meanwhile use community space on the Havelock estate in Southall. http://www.alisoncrawshaw.com/
