Led by founding director Anna Parker, Intervention Architecture is an interdisciplinary design studio based in Birmingham. At the Barbican in London, the practice maximised the potential of a studio apartment for a Royal Ballet soloist client, creating birch plywood joinery that can be reconfigured for sleeping, dining and sitting. The practice welcomes community engagement in its designs and making. It worked with Birmingham school children on Pavilion Babs, a temporary structure for the Birmingham Weekender event, created as part of a project to encourage careers in design, construction and engineering (in collaboration with Arup and Scale Rule). http://www.interventionarchitecture.com/
