Steve McCloy and Bongani Muchemwa co-founded their design and architecture studio in 2017, while simultaneously working on public and commercial buildings at major architectural practices.
McCloy + Muchemwa describes its approach as founded on a love for the artistic process, with
a commitment to making affordable, understandable, and evocative work. The practice has won several design competitions for public realm installations. The Redscape, a series of red pavilions to celebrate the reopening of Leeds Art Gallery, used Lego-like road barriers to configure a sequence of courtyards and covered spaces for public workshops. https://www.mccloymuchemwa.com/
