Matthew Whittaker and Camilla Parsons set up their practice in east London in 2015. With a background in conservation and the radical transformation of existing buildings, Whittaker Parsons prides itself on making bold yet careful interventions. Whittaker Parsons’ Gentle Monster store, in the Grade II-listed former Dickins & Jones building off London’s Regent Street, was awarded the FRAME best single-brand store of the year accolade in 2019.
The practice has also collaborated with artist Edmund de Waal on the Library of Exile, a temporary, panelled timber pavilion housing more than 2,000 books written by exiled authors. http://whittakerparsons.com/
