Richard Rogers – Buildings and Cities

Presenting a range of masterplans and projects that address the city from the macro to the micro scale, Richard Rogers reflects upon his experience of collaborative practice and urban design.

One of Britain’s most influential and powerful architects, Rogers studied at the AA before graduating from Yale University. He founded the Richard Rogers Partnership in 1977 and is best known for such pioneering buildings as the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (with Renzo Piano); the Lloyds Building, London; the European Court of Human Rights, Strasbourg; the Millennium Dome, London; and the Stirling prize-winning Barajas Airport Terminal 4, Madrid. In 2000 he wrote the UK governments White paper Towards an Urban Renaissance. Lord Rogers is currently chair of the Greater London Authority panel for Architecture and Urbanism. In 2007 he was awarded the Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
