WIRELESS LONDON & THE AA: Amin MEDOSCH/Usman HAQUE
Civic Communications
This is the first lecture in a collaborative series of three, titled Wireless London and the AA: Future Urban Infrastructures. Each talk involves a speaker nominated by the AA (from the fields of architecture and urbanism) and another speaker nominated by Wireless London (from areas such as free networking, locative media and the semantic web). The considerations, understanding and development of Wireless Free Networks mirror and supplement many architectural concerns. This lecture series aims to place Free Networks within the wider framework of architecture and urbanism.
Armin Medosch is a writer, artist and curator. He is co-initiator of Cybersalon events; member of the University of Openness, a self-learning institution; and associate senior lecturer at Ravensbourne Colleges MA in Interactive Digital Media.
Usman Haque designs interactive architecture systems and researches how people relate to each other and their spaces. He teaches at the Bartlett. His recent projects include Sky Ear – see haque.co.uk.
Chaired by Pete Gomes with an introduction by Julian Priest.
