We proudly bring you the quarantine diary of the world-famous storyteller Hans Christian Andersen, told by his young colleague, Danish writer Harald Voetmann.
Harald Voetmann reads an excerpt from Hans Christian Andersen’s Quarantaine-diary. Here we follow the fairytale writer on his struggle through Copenhagen during the Corona pandemic in 2020.
Harald Voetmann (born 1978) is a translator and writer. He published his first book of prose ‘Kapricer’ in 2000. Since then he has published more than 10 books of prose and poetry. For ‘Sublunar’ Voetmann was shortlisted for the Nordic Council Literature Prize and was awarded the prestigious ‘Kritikerprisen’. As a translator, Voetmann has published translations by writers such as Satyricon, Pliny the Elder, and Petronius. Voetmann published ‘H.C. Andersens Quarantaine-Dagbog’ (H.C. Andersen’s Quarantine Diary), in 2020.
