Following the launch of the Earth Drawings Virtual Gallery, which saw an array of submissions from all parts of the AA’s global community, this panel discussion will assess the value of drawing as a tool and the importance of imaging the earth today.
Invited panellists include: architect, artist and First Year tutor Pol Esteve; designers of the virtual Earth Gallery, Diploma tutors and founders of Space Popular Fredrik Hellberg and Lara Lesmes; Council member and architect Sam Jacob; architect and Diploma tutor David Kohn; founding member of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture Madelon Koolhaas-Vriesendorp; and alumna Marie-Louise Raue and Paul Francis Feeney; all of whom have a drawing included in the exhibition. The discussion will be chaired by Manijeh Verghese, Head of Public Programmes at the AA and curator of the Venice Biennale 2020 British Pavilion.
