Every person, community or place should have the opportunity and tools to shape the spaces they inhabit. We should all benefit from the quality of life that is achieved through informed design. By seeking collaboration with charities and the active involvement of local communities we hope to make an impact on everyday lives and the architectural community as a whole. We firmly believe buildings are opportunities for a rich, beautiful, educational process not merely a final outcome and we hope that by working together we can take these opportunities to make real change.
CAUKIN Studio is a social enterprise that creates IMPACT THROUGH ARCHITECTURE. We use our project’s as a vehicle to educate and upskill local communities and international participants in design and construction. The team began working together in 2015, during their 2nd year of university studies, when their very first project, Playscape, was completed in Cambodia. After the success of Playscape, CAUKIN Studio identified the immense value of working with local communities and the knowledge exchange that takes place both on and off site.
